Maternity Nurse
Who are they?
Maternity Nurses will generally work on a 24-hour schedule over 5-6 days per week. The Maternity Nurse will ensure all nursery duties are carried out, including assisting/advising on feeding whether the baby(ies) are breast or bottle fed. She will also take care of all the baby(ies) items including clothing, feeding equipment/accessories, toys and ensure the nursery is kept clean and tidy with a high level of hygiene. One of the main goals of a Maternity Nurse is to get the baby(ies) into a structured sleeping and feeding routine that the parents can then go forward with after the Maternity Nurse has fulfilled her contracted period.
