Your children deserve the best
WHY HIRE A ROTA NANNY?
A Rota Nanny is responsible for your child’s overall wellbeing whilst they are on duty. Your Rota Nanny will plan and organise daily and/or weekly activities both inside and outside of the home, to support your child’s learning and overall development. Your Rota Nanny will assist in your child’s intellectual, physical and emotional development as they will be working alongside you to ensure a safe, happy and healthy environment.
Rota Nannies offer sole charge or proxy parenting as well as working alongside parents, depending on your preferences and the setup of your household. A Rota Nanny is often responsible for all nursery duties, some light meal preparation, setting and adhering to a structured routine, organising playdates, liaising with doctors/teachers etc, and ensuring the children’s nursery and room is clean and tidy. However, the role of a Rota Nanny is not to perform housekeeping duties and that is a separate role. Rota Nannies may organise playdates with your children’s friends and accompany your child to any extra-curricular activities as well as assist with homework supervision and reading. Rota Nannies typically work with children from birth up to 8 years. A Rota nanny will work on a set schedule alongside another rota nanny. For example, they may work 2 weeks on/off or 4 weeks on/off. Whereby, when they are on shift, they are on call as and when needed by the family. Given the hours covered, a Rota Nanny is paid a full salary for every week of the year. This allows a family more flexibility and cover, alongside the luxury of having different Rota Nannies providing different attributes. For example, one might be a pianist and the other a linguist. Both of which will assist your child with new skills. If it is affordable, a lot of families are now opting for the Rota Nanny set up within their home.

Working hours of a Rota Nanny
There are no set working hours for a nanny as each family tends to have a schedule that is more appropriate to their needs depending on their working hours and personal life. Rota Nannies however, generally work on a shift basis whereby they may work one week on/off, 2 weeks on/off or even a month on/off. We don’t advise shifts last longer than a month when alternating with another Rota Nanny as the working hours of a Rota Nanny are typically longer and cover around the clock care. It is important a Rota Nanny can replenish their energy on their time off to give their best when whilst working. A Rota Nanny is typically working on a 24/7 basis, they do sleep and rest during periods, it is more about being on call as and when required. For example, if a child were to be ill during the night and need attention.
