A lovely family residing in Brook Green, London is seeking a qualified and experienced nanny/Norland nanny for the care of their two adorable little girls aged 2,5 and 1,5. The family previously had a Norland Nanny for two years and she has written them a wonderful reference, she is only leaving due to a relocation.
Their eldest child is very sociable and enjoys reading, music, tennis, going to the playground, library, cooking/baking, attending various playgroups and classes in the area and seeing her friends through their existing nanny’s network. She is potty trained. Her speaking abilities are above the typical standards of her age and she can easily participate in conversations. She also has a great appetite and eats a wide variety of food with no fuss. She will be starting nursery two mornings a week in early July (8am-12:30pm) and the nursery is a convenient 2-minute walk from the house for the pick up. The youngest child has just started weaning and is a very happy, smiley and content little girl. They require the nanny to focus on her development, attend morning playgroups and classes and plan fun activities whilst the eldest is at nursery.
The working hours are Monday – Friday, 8am – 6pm with two evening a month asked for baby sitting. The role will include planning development focused activities (playgroups, classes), outdoor activities, encouraging the children to learn through doing and discovering things for themselves and organising playdates with other children of similar ages in the areas. The family is also keen for the nanny to venture out into the city to explore further afield including visiting museums, parks and other attractions in London. In addition, the nanny should plan and cook healthy nutritious meals for both girls including taking responsibility for continuing to see out the youngest child’s weaning.
The areas close to where they live is great for children and nannies alike, with plenty of playgroups and classes, parks and playgrounds with easy transport links (Brook Green and Ravenscourt Parks are within a 10-minute walk and Holland Park, a 25-minute walk). The family home is a short walk to the River Thames, a 5-minute walk to Shepherds Bush tube (central line and overground) and 7-minute walk to Hammersmith tube (Piccadilly, Circle and Hammersmith & City lines). It is also easy to get to South Kensington via the bus and tube for the museums or Kew for more outside space. The home also has a small garden and they have a cleaner twice a week.
The ideal candidate will a qualified professional nanny with at least 3 years of experience in private families, someone who adores children and her role as a nanny, is loving, enthusiastic and reliable as well as confident with children of this age group. Native English or fluency in English is a must, a second language is desirable but not a necessity. A driver is not required as they live very close to local transport. They do not have any pets within their household.
The start date of is 16 July 2018 and the family is ready to start interviewing now in order to have a three day handover with their current nanny. It is possible that this can be extended to the beginning of August for the right candidate. This is a live-out role. The salary on offer is from £33,000 – £41,000 gross per annum depending on experience, qualifications and up to date checkable references.
The family is a happy grounded family that wish for the nanny to integrate into the family, they have a good sense of humour and would love it for the nanny to fit in seamlessly. The parents occasionally work from home once per week.
