Overview
A warm and respectful private family is seeking an experienced Dog Nanny / Registered Veterinary Nurse to provide high-level daily care for their pets: two elderly dogs with ongoing health needs, one cat, and two puppies joining the home later in the year. This is a hands-on role for a confident clinical professional able to monitor health, administer medication, and maintain a structured care routine within a private household.

Schedule
Full-time, approx. 07:00–17:30 when the family is in residence, with flexibility during pet rest periods.
Up to 10 weeks per year of shared house- and pet-sitting (non-consecutive). Additional compensation available if exceeded.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day health monitoring and medication administration

  • Meal preparation, supplements, health logs, weigh-ins, and BP checks

  • Liaise with veterinary specialists and arrange diagnostics when needed

  • Confident emergency response and first-aid management

  • Support puppy feeding, socialisation, basic training, and smooth household integration

  • Gentle exercise, grooming, hygiene, and enrichment

  • Maintain a calm, safe, well-organised environment

  • Provide clear daily written and photo/video updates via WhatsApp

Candidate Requirements

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse with 4+ years’ clinical experience (hospital/second-opinion ideal)

  • Skilled in managing elderly pets with complex medical needs

  • Confident caring for and supporting puppy development

  • Professional, discreet, reliable, able to maintain boundaries within a private household

  • Clean driving licence and ability to attend veterinary appointments

Package

  • Salary from £45,000+ depending on experience
