Job Description

A family based in Athens, Greece, is seeking an experienced and dedicated live-in nanny to support the care, development, and wellbeing of their 10-month-old son.
This role would suit a career nanny with extensive experience caring for infants and supporting children through key developmental milestones during the early years. The family is looking for a warm, proactive, and highly professional candidate who can provide attentive care while creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages the child’s emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for all nursery duties relating to the child, including maintaining routines, supporting healthy sleep habits, preparing nutritious meals as the child progresses through weaning and beyond, and ensuring the child’s bedroom, nursery, clothing, and belongings are always organised and well maintained. A genuine interest in child development and age-appropriate activities is essential, with the ability to adapt learning and play opportunities as the child grows.
The family resides in a fully staffed household; therefore, the nanny must be confident working alongside other household employees and maintaining excellent communication with both parents and staff members. Previous experience working within private households is highly desirable, and candidates should be discreet, professional, and comfortable within a formal family environment.
The family travels internationally throughout the year, and the nanny must be flexible and happy to accompany them when required. The ideal candidate will be organised, adaptable, and confident travelling with young children, ensuring all the child’s needs are met while away from home.
The family is seeking a long-term commitment from a professional nanny who genuinely enjoys working with children and takes pride in providing exceptional care. A calm, nurturing nature combined with a positive and flexible approach will be highly valued. The working schedule is 5 days per week, 12 hours daily with two days off during the week.
Only candidates with an enhanced DBS, up to date First Aid certification, and excellent contactable references will be considered. Applicants must also be confident and competent swimmers. An EU passport is preferred; however, the family can provide a work visa for the right candidate.
Following successful interviews and reference checks, shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a one-week paid trial before being offered a long-term contract.
Package:
• Salary: €5,000–€7,000 gross per month, negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
• Live-in accommodation provided
• International travel with the family (mostly to the US)
• Supportive and professional working environment within a fully staffed household
• Long-term position with a private family near Athens, Greece
