Job Description
GBN513 – Live-in Nanny | Devon, UK + Travel
Location: Devon, UK + travel
Start Date: 1 October 2026
Salary: £60,000+ gross per annum, with flexibility for an exceptional candidate
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–7:00pm, with flexibility and give-and-take

The Role
A warm and informal family based in Devon, are seeking an experienced, nurturing and genuinely maternal Live-in Nanny for their first child, a baby girl who will be approximately four months old at the start of the role.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience caring for babies, with an Early Years or maternity nanny background highly desirable. The nanny will provide attentive, stimulating and developmentally focused care, supporting the baby through her changing routines and milestones, including weaning, introducing solids, developmental play and, in time, potty training.
Dad works from home, so strong emotional intelligence and an ability to read the dynamics of the household are important. The family are looking for someone who knows when to take the lead, when to involve the parents and how to offer support without being intrusive.
The family travel regularly, including extended periods in London and international travel to destinations such as Singapore. The nanny must therefore be comfortable travelling with the family. As a multicultural household, cultural sensitivity and experience with international families would be highly valued.
The home is informal and not fully staffed, with cleaners and gardeners attending several days each week. The family also have a small terrier.
A driver is preferred, with a car available for work use. A minimum two-day trial will be required before commencing the position.
