A lovely family from Jordan well recommended to Great British Nannies is seeking an SEN nanny for the care of their son aged 4 years. The family has another child a girl aged 1.5 years and are expecting their third child soon. The other children have their own nanny. However, from time to time you may be asked to assist with the other children.
Their son aged 4 is autistic and has speech and developmental delays. He was speaking and reaching milestones until last December whereby he has some issues with his ears and eyes. The family is supporting him with speech and ABA therapy, along with a specialist centre from the U.K. who are flying over to Jordan to spend some time with him in August. He currently communicates his needs by taking you to what he wants or pointing. He has some struggles with eating and the family are planning on implementing a gluten and preservative free diet soon.
The family is seeking a candidate with experience working with a child who has SEN and who can support him through reaching milestones, offering patience, understanding, care and guidance. The family is also happy to pay for any courses that may support you in the role to assist him and the nanny’s knowledge further. This role would suit and SEN career nanny or someone with a background working with Autistic children in schools looking to
move towards working within a private household. This is a fully staffed household; the candidate must be discreet and have a good understanding of working within a team and be a team player. The working schedule will be 5 days per week (days TBD) with 8-10 hours daily.
The boy is very sweet, and loves running, swimming, playing and going to the park. His main challenge is with his speech. The nanny must be a fluent English speaker as this is the main language used within the household.
The family travel frequently. Therefore, the candidate must enjoy travel and be flexible regarding travelling at short notice.
The salary on offer is starting form £1500 net per week and this role is to be filled by August 2025. However, the family is happy to wait for the right candidate and a trial week will be offered prior to a long-term contract being signed. Apply now.
