A family based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is seeking an exceptionally experienced French speaking baby nanny to join their household and care for their four-week-old baby boy.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced nanny who is looking for a long-term position with a warm family and enjoys providing calm, nurturing and developmentally appropriate care. The family are seeking someone who can start ASAP, with interviews commencing immediately.
The family are first-time parents and are looking for someone with a minimum of 10 years’ professional experience caring for infants through to toddler age. They would value someone with a strong understanding of early childhood development who can provide knowledgeable support whilst working closely and respectfully with the parents.
The mother is confident in her preferences and has a clear understanding of how she would like her son to be cared for. She is open to someone who can assist, advise and share their experience, but it is important that the successful candidate has a gentle and collaborative approach. This is not a role for someone who is overly directive or pushy; rather, the family are looking for a nanny who can offer thoughtful guidance whilst respecting the parents’ wishes and allowing them to remain closely involved in their son’s care.
The family favour a natural and simple approach to toys and play, preferring quality and age-appropriate experiences rather than an abundance of toys or stimulation. The successful candidate should therefore have a natural understanding of babies and young children and enjoy encouraging development through simple, engaging and thoughtful play.
You will provide the highest standard of care for the baby, supporting his feeding, sleep and daily routine whilst responding sensitively to his individual needs. As he grows, you will help introduce age-appropriate activities and routines that encourage his development in a calm and natural way.
The role would suit someone warm, nurturing and highly observant, who is naturally organised and hygienic but also relaxed and intuitive in their approach. You should be confident anticipating the needs of a young baby and adapting your care as he reaches each new developmental stage.
You will work alongside a night nanny, forming part of a supportive childcare team. Excellent communication and a collaborative approach are therefore essential, as is the ability to maintain consistency in the baby’s care and routine.
The family live in a formal private household and are looking for someone who understands the standards, discretion and professionalism required within this environment. You should be polished and respectful whilst retaining a genuinely warm and nurturing personality.
The family provide separate private accommodation on the grounds, allowing the successful candidate their own comfortable space whilst remaining conveniently close to the household.
The family travel periodically, and the nanny may be required to accompany them, providing continuity of care for the baby across different locations. Flexibility and excellent organisation are therefore important.
Requirements
• Minimum 10 years’ professional experience working with infants through to toddlers
• Enhanced DBS clear and in date
• Paediatric First Aid within the last year
• Extensive experience caring for newborns and young babies
• Strong knowledge of infant development and age-appropriate care
• A gentle, calm and nurturing approach
• Collaborative rather than directive in working with parents
• Comfortable supporting first-time parents whilst respecting their preferences
• A natural approach to play, toys and early development
• Organised, hygienic and attentive to detail
• Confident working alongside a night nanny

• Flexible and willing to travel with the family when required

Package
• £5000 – £6,000 net per month
• Six-month initial contract with potential to continue long-term
• Live-in position with separate private accommodation provided on the grounds
• One return flight home per contract year and flights to and from Saudia Arabia at the beginning and end of the contract
