Schedule: Monday–Friday, up to 50 hours per week
Salary: £4,000–£4,500 net per month
Accommodation: Live-in, or live-out for candidates already based in the UAE with their own accommodation
Driver: Not essential
Travel: Some UK and international travel may be required
The Role
A lovely British family relocating to Dubai are seeking an experienced, professional career nanny to join them on a long-term basis. Their current nanny is very happy with the family but does not wish to relocate.
The family are hands-on, warm and welcoming and value their nanny’s privacy and work-life balance. They are looking for a proactive, forward-thinking and developmentally focused nanny with a strong background in early years education, child development and private household childcare.
The role will involve a mixture of sole and shared care for their toddler and baby. The successful candidate will take ownership of all aspects of childcare, maintaining the children’s established routines whilst creating a warm, loving, safe and stimulating environment.
The Nanny
The ideal candidate will have a recognised background or qualification in early years education, with a strong understanding of child development and developmental milestones. They will be nurturing, playful and passionate about providing high-quality early years care.
They will have a good sense of humour and enjoy laughing and playing with the children, whilst introducing age-appropriate learning opportunities both inside and outside the home.
Activities may include music, art, football, gymnastics, sports, outdoor play and outings, with an emphasis on cultural awareness, good manners and etiquette.
The nanny should be organised, proactive and professional, confident caring for both a toddler and baby, and comfortable working as part of a team as well as confident in preparing nutritionally balanced meals for the children.
Requirements
• Recognised early years education qualification/background is required.
• Strong knowledge of early years education and child development.
• Previous private household nanny experience.
• Experience caring for both babies and toddlers.
• Proactive, organised and developmentally focused.
• Warm, nurturing and playful personality.
• Professional, discreet and respectful.
• Excellent team player with good communication skills.
• Seeking a long-term position.
• Willingness to travel with the family when required.
• Driving licence advantageous but not essential.
Package
• £4,000–£4,500 net per month.
• 30 days paid holiday per year.
• One return flight home per contract year.
• Flights at the beginning and end of the contract to/from home, if required.
• Basic medical insurance.
• Live-in accommodation.
• Food provided whilst on duty/at work.
The family are happy to consider a live-out candidate, but this is only available to candidates already based in the UAE with their own accommodation.
Paid trial days will be required prior to a formal job offer.
