Job Description
An international family is seeking a fluent English-speaking nanny to join them in Bulgaria to care for their newborn daughter, due in February 2026. This is a long-term position offering the opportunity to provide an English-speaking environment from birth, while supporting the parents as the primary figures in their child’s life.
The family is looking for an experienced and professional nanny with a calm, nurturing approach and a solid background in caring for infants and young children. A childcare qualification or experience with approaches such as Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Gentle Parenting, or EYFS would be an advantage, as would experience working with bilingual or international families.
The family travel frequently and at times at short notice. The successful candidate must enjoy travelling and be happy and flexible to travel at short notice. This is a fully staffed home and therefore a team player and someone who enjoys working alongside a wider team is preferred. It is a semi-formal household, whereby the family are welcoming, however you should understand certain boundaries and respect them in a working atmosphere. The role will be solely focused on the child’s physical, emotional and social development with a focus on developing English from the very start.
The family would like to start interviewing candidates immediately so that they can apply for the work visa in Bulgaria ahead of the baby being born. Role details:

Requirements:
- Fluent English speaker
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with children aged 0–3
- Childcare qualification or degree (preferred)
- Excellent recent references from private families
- Valid passport, police/DBS check
- Willingness to relocate to Bulgaria
- Happy to travel frequently and at short notice
Responsibilities:
- Provide full care for the newborn: feeding, routines, hygiene, walks, and play
- Establish and maintain a stimulating English-speaking environment
- Support physical, emotional, and cognitive development in age-appropriate ways
- Respect family routines and the parents’ role as primary caregivers
Package:
